Tough loss by the Coil....3 lucky deflections for goals for the 4-1 lead then McDavid was a no show the rest of the way. Maybe now this goes 6.
When did don Taylor get so jaded. He’s such a buzz kill nowadays. 😂
Man how I’ve missed Don Taylor highlights! Now that’s what I call nostalgia
6:23 the faceoffs Lindholm 14 - 4 (18 faceoffs, 78%) Miller 11 - 7 (18 faceoffs, 61%) Sum: 25 - 11 (36 faceoffs, 70%) to Vancouver, with these two players alone.
LOVE the Eddie Lack sponsorship! What a great guy. Love his social media! I agree with Dhali that we need Hoggy and Mik to feed him some good passes to Petey. Hoggy has GREAT skill, honestly maybe goal of the year during the regular season... he's lacking in playoff experience and he's a young guy, but I just hope he can find his way and find some chemistry with Pettersson. Finally... LOVE Cheech! Really enjoyed his thoughts post game. His big smile made the win all the sweeter for me.
All Silovs does is win!
Is no one gonna talk about that hit on Hughes in the first? Head first into the boards
Imagine what the Canucks could do if someone could light a fire under Pettersson
The Canucks NEED to win game 2. They can't go to Edmonton tied. If the Coilers win game 2 I think they'll take the series.
The entire crew for CBC are Oilers homers so nothing they say has any validity
Really miss his commentary with shorty
This was the first Playoff game I ever went to, and it was one I will never forget!
Ricks moustache shouldnt allow him 5 miles near a school..
John provides fantastic insight. Let's go boys, what a win and what a team we have.
THEY GOT ONE OF THE BIGGEST D'S IN THE NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
We need to change up the forward lines big time. Petey needs to get going. Suter Miller Boeser Joshua Lindholm Garland Hoglander Bleuger Mikheyev Pettersson Aman PDG
Great win by Canucks but as someone who watched Sports Page as a teen back in the 80s, it's always great to see Donnie.
Tom's Video!
Special room at Blockbusters. Cheech still has it.
Let’s take one game at a time nuck fans. One period at a time. Let’s play our game, don’t give the oilers anything.
First time McDavid held shotless in the playoffs. What a comeback
Bro needs to retire
He is retired. This is a side show for him.
😂
Don't forget that Richter stole the Stanley Cup from the Canucks in 94!
Are you guys going to change your predictions?
They need to resign Joshua and Big Z no matter what
Skinner looking like deer in the headlights when that 4th went in
Can Chek make the post-game show a regular show after all Canucks games (regular season and playoffs)? These post-game shows are so entertaining and fun to watch - Rick's VHS watching?! With that porn-stache too? Too funny!
TOCCHET'S PRE-SERIES WHINING WORKED!!!!.....Boeser THROWS THE PUCK into the crowd and they DO NOT CALL IT???? Holloway BARELY touches PETEY'S leg and PETEY GOES DIVING....AND IT'S CALLED? That was a disgrace to watch....Oilers should lobby the ref's like TOCCHET did...It sure worked for Vancouver tonight. By the way, Silovs gave up 3 goals on 12 shots Cheech......much more to come.
Soucy gg.
Go Canucks! Awesome game.
I would love to watch one of those live podcast with cigars, scotch and people like John Garrett, Tony Gallagher, Donnie and Dhali, Tom Larscheid. Go Canucks Go.
Oh boy, do we ever miss Garrett in the booth every night. Best in the biz!
I thought he was coming back for the playoffs 🤔
@@cwp2580 Cheech should have. Jim Robson used to come back for the playoffs
I don’t miss baseball and ketchup at all
There was also a win in the preseason. Means less than the regular season but it is six straight wins this season. More importantly, they are 1-0 in the playoffs. MsDavid was missing in some of those games.
I'm 63, and have followed the team since day 1. I think this year has to be the most unexpected and exciting season in club history. Probably won't make the postseason, crush the Oil in the season opener. Sat at #1 overall for at least a few weeks. Won the division. Amazing comeback in game 4 against Nashville. Win the series. Every media outlet across the country says they'll get beat by Edmonton. Down 4-1..it's over..or is it?(credit to original poster Mr Don Taylor) Storm back in the 3rd with 3 goals(and Big Z's was a humdinger!). The season that keeps giving. Most fun I've ever had watching a Canucks season/postseason. As the kids say, Let's keep this wagon rollin boyz! #GoCanucksgo
Im in my 50's & have been a Canuck fan all my life and ive never experienced a year like this one. The entire season has felt like a dream. Game 4 in Nashville was surreal and tonight was surreal. They are an amazingly fun team to watch!
Todd’s video still open?! Friend of mine is looking to celebrate the W
Hope they go with desmith next game. Silovs looked weak
I thought so too. But watching closely the 3rd and 4th goal were deflected. But still needed a save.
You always give them at least one more game.
Being thrust into the spotlight probably rattled him. His positioning was off, and he flopped around a lot.
Give Silovs another game. Some of those shots were sneakier than they looked and the atmosphere was crazy in there.. weird goals were going in. I think Silovs plays well next game if you play him. Plus, just from a psychological standpoint... if DeSmith goes in in game 2 and loses badly then its weird to go back to Silovs again for game 3. Again, not saying that would happen to Desmith, but I just don't think you make that switch unless Silovs LOSES a bad game.
Special Room at the Blockbuster
D&D would have known this would happen if they read their Ken Holland interview RUclips comments from yesterday: "Choking under pressure has always been a part of the playoff game and we're about to witness the biggest one of these playoffs with Skinner leading the charge. The Kings suck and could not expose how overrated the Oilers are and most pundits don't even watch Canucks games. Canucks in 4 maybe 5."
Holy moly what a beautiful effort by the boys
What. A. Game.
Rick’s Stache is amazing
A young Burt Reynolds.
Mr potato Head
RAHHHHHHHHHH
YAHHHHHHHHH
Turned it off when he said “probably everything”
That song was written by Neil Sedaka.
Gene Principe the Tippler comes out and throws a hardball a our face saying the Oilers were PERFECT ANGELS against the LA KINGS and they did not retaliate even one time when the BIG BAD KINGS were rubbing it in.....what a load of garbage, the Oilers are the greasiest dirtiest Team left in the Playoffs....go shine someone elses shoes ....we watch a lot of hockey around here.......and even listening to Leon and Connor SAY THEY WERE MATURE THEMSELVES 1,000,000 times over 82 Post/Pre Game Interviews will not make it happen.
OILERS 5 VANCOUVER 2 Pettersson : 0 points as usual.
Pettersen try to maximize team play up and down ice?
Peteys contracts no trade clause doesn't kick in until the second year, why would he do that ?. I think if the canucks don't do well in the playoffs he might ask for a trade next season , before his no trade clause kicks in.
Can we trade him before his contract kicks in?
Amazing how everyone and their dog gobbles the oilers sack even though Canucks played them and other good teams very well this year. Be nice to have at least someone acknowledge Canucks have a chance 🙄 can’t wait to hear the excuses if the oilers lose
If I was Rick I would maybe park Petey on the bench. If the player has any heart he will wake up. If he doesn't then you know you got a player that should've been traded not signed to big money.
